The designer’s pave diamond kiss earrings were beautifully displayed along with a fantastic write up about our newest talent! Just one day after, First Lady Michelle Obama lit up Santiago, Chile in Jordan Alexander jewelry at an official dinner at La Moneda Palace hosted by Chile's President Sebastian Pinera and First Lady Cecilia Morel de Pinera. The renowned fashion icon and role model for women wore Jordan Alexander’s pave diamond “kiss” earrings (the same ones that were in the Times!) and two strands of navy Baroque Chinese South Sea pearls adorned with diamond accents. We are honored & excited to see our First Lady showcasing emerging talent in such a unique way. Our designer’s navy pearls were the perfect complement to the feminine neckline & deep magenta color of the First Lady’s Sophie Theallet dress. A modern and fresh perspective on classic pearls, this look was unexpected, effortless and beautiful. Take note jewelry buffs & collectors: these are the NEW pearls! How about a bit of background on the designer…and I’ll also tell you how you can add these pieces to your own jewelry boxes!
The Jordan Alexander collection is designed by Los Angeles & New York-based Theresa Bruno. Named after her sons, Jordan & Alexander, the collection blends luxurious elements like Tahitian pearls, diamonds and rubies with unexpected bohemian touches like macramé, sandalwood, turquoise, moonstone and lava beads. Inspired by her Southern roots as well as her grandmother’s and mother’s exquisite estate-like personal jewelry collections, the designer sought to create beautiful, but everyday wearable fine jewelry that would represent her own free-spirited style. The best part of all of this is that you too can get our First Lady’s look on Fragments.com and in our store in New York City (Fragments, 212.334.9588.) Both strands of pearls (16” & 42”) as well as the earrings and more Jordan Alexander jewelry are available for purchase. Stay tuned for more news every week and thank you for following me! Love, Janet
